Rainforest Grotto & The Sugar Wharf

this Port Douglas destination wedding had it all!

Then, a cheeky moment to enjoy a drink & listen to the tunes of Anais Campbell playing acoustic guitar in the garden before we set off for bridal party photos.

These two requested that they have the chance to enjoy a lot of their cocktail hour rather than taking photos for hours & missing out on all the fun, and honestly when you’ve got cocktail hour set on the sugar wharf you can’t blame them - that view is for enjoying with your loved ones! We captured candid moments on the wharf & did a quick little session as the sun began to set - my friends, you don’t need a long portrait shoot to get some quick awesome photos, if you want to be at your cocktail hour longer we can definitely help you make that happen without sacrificing the capture of those gorgeous couples moments at sunset. We too enjoyed capturing guests living their best lives with a glass of bubbles & being serenaded by the talented due of Anais & Mike on vocals & sax to set the scene.

The anticipation of one heck of a party had us excited for the reception & it definitely had it all from some beautifully touching speeches to a well lit up dance floor thanks of course to the amazing Bart from Electric Dreams on DJ duty.

From the moment we stepped into the beautiful properties Georgie & Zac were getting ready in, and began shooting our way through the details & preparations, we knew this would be a fun day by all the laughs & banter we shared with the crew!
The beginning of our day had us in awe over the little details, the girls & guys celebrating with a bevvy with their bridal parties & all the feels of anticipation for the day to come.

Showing up here to shoot the scene Port Douglas Weddings & Hire had planned before guests arrive felt like walking into a whimsical forest, with florals to die for by The Posy Crew. Soon our lovely couple had arrived and were guided through a Ceremony with stories, tears & laugher by celebrant Paige Whyte.
