We met in 2018, somewhere between a champagne tower and a crowded dance floor, both shooting the same wedding from opposite sides of the room. What started as professional admiration quickly turned into years of friendship, late night creative conversations, and the inevitable “one day we should do this together.”
After years of building our craft independently, we joined forces to create a photography and film experience rooted in refined editorial storytelling and instinctive documentary capture.
I’ve been filming weddings for over a decade now, and I’m still captivated by the energy, the emotion, and the privilege of documenting such meaningful days. There’s nothing quite like being immersed in a celebration and preserving its magic as it unfolds.
Originally from South Australia, I now call Cairns home, completely enamoured with the endless summer of Far North Queensland.
I began my career in a very different field as a pharmacist, following a traditional nine-to-five path. But it didn’t take long to realise it wasn’t where I was meant to be. The moment I picked up a camera, everything changed and I never looked back.
What began as a hobby quickly evolved into a full-time career, and I’ve now been capturing weddings for over ten years. I’m endlessly drawn to the emotion and artistry of a wedding day and yes, I still tear up during ceremonies. It’s a privilege I never take for granted.
Outside of weddings, you’ll find me travelling, hiking, or at CrossFit, most often alongside my husband Will and our dog Rio. I’ll never say no to a good bottle of wine and a beautifully curated cheese platter.
I feel incredibly lucky to do this work to film, to create, and to be trusted with the memories that matter most.
Originally from South Australia, I was drawn north by the tropical heat, rainforest, and reef, and feel incredibly lucky to call Far North Queensland home.
When I’m not shooting weddings, I’m usually deep in the renovation of our 100-year-old Queenslander with my husband Matt alongside our four dogs, six chickens, sixteen ducks, and two geese.
In 2024, we finally did.
Over the years, our friendship has become the foundation of everything we do. We are practically inseparable now, and that connection translates into the seamless way we work. There is an unspoken rhythm between us that allows us to anticipate moments before they unfold.
Tayla is the calm precision, the organised, thoughtful planner with an incredible eye for detail and an undeniable creative instinct. She sees the frame before it happens enabling her to capture composed, intentional, art. Katie is the chaos, she is instinctive, dynamic, and thrives in the beautiful unpredictability of a wedding day, never missing a single moment as it unfolds. Together, we balance each other in a way that feels effortless but is built on years of trust.
We are not just here to capture your wedding. We are here to elevate it. To fix your veil, adjust your jacket, calm your nerves, hype you up, and make sure you are having the best time of your life while we document everything.
